Royal Farms to open stores in North Carolina

Royal Farms announced plans to expand into North Carolina in early 2023.

The first store to be built will be in Grandy, NC and additional stores will follow in New Bern, Greenville, Lumberton, Kinston, and Jacksonville. Royal Farms plans to open more locations in other areas of the state, a release stated.

Royal Farms is known for its chicken and side dishes, such as mac and cheese and potatoes, with some locations having car washes as well as gas pumps.

Features will include sucharge-free ATMs and coffee from Swiss-made brewing machines.

In Delaware, Baltimore-based Royal Farms battle it out with larger rival Wawa for key locations.

Wawa is also scouting for sites in North Carolina.

Royal Farms has more than 260 locations in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and West Virginia.
