An early morning Wednesday warehouse fire in Seaford injured firefighters and led to residents dealing with smoke, soot and dirty water.

The City of Seaford issued a release that took note of the impact of the massive blaze on residents.
The release noted that residents experienced issues with floating ash debris, air quality and dirty water.
Air quality was being monitored by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environment Control No hazardous chemicals were detected, although smoke and debris affected air quality for a time.
The city also reported dirty water resulting from the firefighting work. Residents were advised to run outside hoses until water turned clear and refrain from tasks like washing clothes.
The fire remains under investigation by the state Fire Marshal’s office.
