Nemours Children’s Health announces new southeast PA centers

Nemours Children’s Health will open three new specialty care sites opening by winter 2024 to serve the children and families of southeastern Pennsylvania.

The new sites will offer expanded services in convenient locations throughout Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. With the addition of these new specialty care locations, Nemours Children’s will be able to care for more patients and expand its existing services.

The announcement comes after long-time partner Main Line Health decided to affiliate with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Opening on Oct. 12 was Nemours Children’s Health, Abington, located in the Price Medical Building on the Jefferson Abington Hospital campus Services will be relocated and expanded from the Nemours’ Willow Grove specialty care location. As Jefferson Health’s pediatric partner, this outpatient specialty care site expands upon the existing partnership.

Slated for spring 2023, services will be relocated from Bryn Mawr and Newtown Square to Nemours Children’s Health, Broomall at Broomall Commons. Nemours Children’s will operate a more than 19,000-square-foot outpatient pediatric specialty care facility, offering diagnostic services and 14 medical and surgical specialties, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapies.

In winter 2024, Nemours will open its third planned new location in Pennsylvania, Nemours Children’s Health, Malvern. The Malvern site, located in Uptown Worthington, will be an ambulatory surgery facility and comprehensive pediatric care center offering 22 medical and surgical specialties. The location will also feature a sleep center, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

“The expansion plans allow Nemours Children’s to provide a broad range of pediatric specialty services to meet the needs of even more Pennsylvania children,” said Mary Lee, MD, FAAP, Executive Vice President, Chief Science Officer and Physician in Chief of Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. “These new locations in Abington, Broomall and Malvern will ensure coordinated care for children with acute to chronic conditions, all delivered by Nemours’ highly qualified, dedicated associates.”
