As part of the company’s clean energy initiatives, Delmarva Power is soliciting proposals for Wind Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for customers in Delaware.
Delmarva Power is seeking bids for RECs from one or more wind generating facilities with an aggregate capacity of no more than 80 megawatts, with each bid limited to 40 MW for the compliance year 2023-2024 and for a term of 10 to 15 years.
Due to Delaware’s small size, wind generation has mainly come from neighboring Pennsylvania.
Facilities interested in participating in the request for proposal (RFP) must submit a Notice of Intent to Bid Form via email by May 16, 2022. The deadline for completed proposals is 5 p.m. Eastern on June 2. Those interested in participating in the RFP or that have any questions can contact the RFP Coordinator at DErecrfpcoordinator@delmarva.com.
