Delaware continues to see a decline in new Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations.
The Sunday summary from the Delaware Division of Public Health reported the following as of Saturday night:
- No new deaths, with the total remaining at 2,576, the equivalent of the population of the Town of Bridgeville.
- 427 new positive cases, bringing the overall total to 251,192. Delaware saw as many as 4,771 cases in mid-January.
- 13.7% of total tests were positive in the seven-day rolling average, down nine-tenths of a percent from the previous day.
- 266 current hospitalizations, down five from the previous day. The record, set in mid-January, was 759. The surge led to an indoor mask mandate in Delaware after hospitals reported near crisis condititions.
- 26 individuals in critical condition.
- 11 new hospital admissions, down six from the previous day.
- 4,990 tests performed daily in the seven-day average, down 169 from the previous day.
- 648,182 people fully vaccinated, up 757 from the previous day, according to the CDC Vaccine Tracker.
- 695,995 total vaccine doses, up 2,693 from the previous day, according to the CDC Vaccine Tracker.
