Biden exits Delaware Friday afternoon

President Joe Biden flew out of Delaware at about 1 p.m.  Friday and will continue the traditional August vacation at the presidential retreat at Camp David in the Maryland mountains.

The president’s schedule had earlier called for a 10 a.m. departure. Of late, departure times have varied.

A Federal Aviation Administration VIP flight restriction was in place into Friday in northern Delaware..

After a long weekend at home last week, the President and First Lady flew back to the White House on Tuesday after Senate passage of the $1.3 billion infrastructure bill. 

The Bidens flew back to Delaware on Thursday afternoon.

Speculation has continued over where the president will continue to spend the traditional August vacation.

Signs, early on, had pointed to the Biden’s North Shores home near Rehoboth Beach.

However, the visit would create traffic congestion and other problems in the beach community, especially on weekends.

The Biden vacation comes during a heatwave on the East Coast. Temperatures in Rehoboth Beach will be in the high 80s, below the 90s in northern Delaware, even Camp David.

The  Bidens have only visited the home only once since his inauguration.
