New Covid-19 cases total 405 in Sunday report

Delaware saw 405 new daily coronavirus cases, the state Division of Public Health reported on Sunday. The 405  is four times the number reported last summer.

No new deaths reported, keeping Delaware’s total number of Covid-19 related deaths at 736.

The percentage of people testing positive remained high at 14.1, based on a seven-day rolling average, up four-tenths of a percent from the previous day.

Of total tests, 5.3 percent came in positive under the seven-day rolling average up two-tenths of a percent from the previous day.

Hospitalization figures were incomplete since not all hospitals reported data.

The Covid-C19 summary reflects data as of Saturday night.

A day earlier, two new deaths were reported, along with  373 new positive cases. 

The two people who died resided in New Castle and Sussex counties.  The individuals were in their 80s and 90s, and both had underlying health conditions. The deaths increased Delaware’s total number of Covid-19 related deaths to 736.

The percentage of people testing positive as of Friday night was 13.7 based on a seven-day rolling average, up nine-tenths of a percent from the previous day.
