A busy business day

Good afternoon,

It was a  busy business day in Delaware – to say the least.

First off, Frontier Airlines formally confirmed it will launch service from New Castle Airport to Orlando in mid-February after coronavirus led to a nearly year-long delay.

Next up was news that BMW Championship will come to the Wilmington Country Club in 2022.

Finally, as expected, the Carney administration announced Covid-19 restrictions that include a ban on out of state sports teams coming to the state for tournaments, a sharp reduction in restaurant capacity, and lower attendance limits for social gatherings.

Looming in the background is a transition to the Biden administration, the odd signals coming out of the White House, and a rising number of cases and hospitalizations stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic.

It’s a lot to digest and  the commentary will have to wait for another day.

Read on and as always, thanks for your support. – Doug Rainey,  chief content officer.
