Vita Nova and One Coastal top Open Table lists
Vita Nova, the student-operated restaurant at the University of Delaware ranks No. 1 in a listing of top northern Delaware restaurants from the Open Table restaurant reservations website.
The ranking is based on reviews.
Vita Nova is one of the hardest reservations to snatch up in Delaware, thanks to the quality of food and service, as well as a schedule governed by the school year. Vita Nova is operated by the Department of Hospitality Management at the Lerner College of Business at UD.
Vincente’s, a family-owned Italian dining spot east of Newark; Eclipse in Wilmington; the Green Room at the Hotel duPont, and the House of William and Merry in Hockessin made the list.
The Green Room is likely to have its reservations book on the full side, since the classic hotel restaurant will close for a makeover in early January. It is likely to re-emerge with a French bistro menu. In the meantime, the adjacent Brandywine Room will stay open, with a focus on steak.

The area is lumped in with Ocean City. However, Delaware restaurants comprised eight of the 10 restaurants.
