The Firefly Music Festival will return to a four-day format next year.

The festival  announced that the music event will run from June 18 to 21 in 2020. It will offer a presale from Wednesday into Thursday.

The festival had come under criticism for a  shortened  schedule as well as what festgoers viewed as  a shortage of headline acts, especially for older audiences.

It was also reported that attendance was down from previous years.

The festival is now under the ownership of the company that produces California’s  Coachella festival, which generally has a who’s who  of top acts.

Firefly, which features camping, drink and food offerings, is held at the Woodlands area of the Dover International Speedway complex.

Firefly adds an economic boost to Central Delaware tourism, which has seen declining attendance at the speedway, which hosts two NASCAR weekends each year.
