11 Delaware companies make the Inc. 5000 list

A company that helps companies and people buy and sell online sites toppd the list of 11 companies on the Inc. 5000 list.

Empire Flippers, a company that brokers the sales and purchases on online businesses ranked first in revenue growth.

Companies on the Inc. list are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2015 to 2018. Companies have to be privately held.

One of the companies making the list was Newark-based Karins and Associates.

Ranking No. 11 on the list was a company whose name has a long history with the Inc 5000.

Placers was on original Inc 500 list decades ago. The company was later sold. However, the son of  Placers founder Alan Burkhard, Chris Burkhard started his own staffing firm and revived the Placers name, which appeared on the Inc. 5000 for six years.

The largest Delaware company on the list is the Siegfried Group, a firm  that provides accounting services to corporate customers. Founded and based in Wilmington, the company has offices throughout the nation and has revenue of $218 million.

Staying on the list is a big challenge for larger companies that have to maintain high growth rates.
