Delaware State Police arrested a Lewes business owner after applications for medical marijuana were submitted at Delaware Holistic Medicine, formerly known as Disjointed. The business is located in Lewes.
The investigation got underway when the Delaware State Police Sussex County Financial Crimes Unit received information about fraudulent activity at the business. The Medical Marijuana Compliance Program was also contacted about medical marijuana applications with fraudulent physician signatures.
Detectives determined that the owner of the business, Carolan C. Krajewski (also known as Carolan Fischer) was linked to the activity. Investigators with the Medical Marijuana Compliance Program were also involved.
A search warrant was obtained from the Sussex County Superior Court and executed on June 1 with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Drug Diversion Unit and the Division of Professional Regulations.
Krajewski (Fischer) was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported to the State Police Troop 4 in Georgetown and formally charged with three counts of Felony Tampering with Public Records First Degree and three counts of Felony Forgery 2nd Degree. Krajewski (Fischer) was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $2,250.00 unsecured bond.
This investigation remains on-going.
