Earlier Saturday afternoon, Wilmington firefighters rescued a man who had been injured while working on a ship at the Port of Wilmington.
A Special Operations Team located the worker who was found 35 feet below deck.
The team located the worker and used a Stokes basket to hoist the patient out of the hull of the ship and lowered the basket to the dock.
Additional crews and EMS personnel transferred to Wilmington Hospital for treatment.
About 15 fire and EMS personnel were at the scene.
