According to the 3rd annual USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice awards, Dogfish Head has the second best brewrey tour.
The USA Today site states, “The first-come, first-served free tours of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery offer a laid-back journey through the working brewhouse, cellars and bottling line for a chance to watch the magic happen. For beer lovers, grain to glass tours go into normally off-limits parts of the facilities, including cold storage, the grain handling room and the barrel-aging room.”
The brewery shows off its off-centered approach with a Steampunk Treehouse, outdoor fermenters, food truck and bocce courts.
Brewery tours last about an hour and include a behind-the-scenes look at the production brewery and Dogfish Head Distilling Co.
With a lineup of rotating taps, visitors will find ales available for tastings, full pours, and crowler and growler fills. \
Dogfish also has a “Merch Shop” offering beer and gear for purchase.
