Cecil County manufacturers were named 2016 Champions of Maryland Manufacturing.
The awards came from the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland.
According to the groups, the awards “reflect the breadth of leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation for both manufacturers and stakeholders throughout our state.”
The companies will be honored at an event late this month.
Named to the list were Terumo Medical Corp., which has a manufacturing site in Elkton and W.L. Gore & Associates, which has multiple sites in Cecil County.
Gore was founded in nearby Newark, ,but ended up locating most of its area sites in Cecil County.
