| The USA Basketball Showcase tips off at the University of Delaware’s Bob Carpenter Center, in Newark, on July 27, at 5:00 p.m., when Australia takes on Canada followed by a 7:30 p.m. clash between the USA Olympic Basketball National Team and France.See some of the best in women’s basketball, including reigning WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne (Chicago Sky and Delaware native), Sue Bird (Seattle Storm), Tamika Catchings (Indiana Fever) and Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury).
The 2016 Basketball Women’s National Team is hosting three of the world’s top women’s basketball teams—Australia, Canada and France—in a four-team, three-stop tournament beginning July 27 through July 31. Sponsored by Verizon, the first of the showcase will start in Delaware on July 27. Other locations include Bridgeport, Connecticut and New York City.
