Artisans’ Bank promotes three

Artisans’ Bank is announce the promotion of three  bank officers to the position of Senior Vice President:

 Lee Connor was promoted to Senior Vice President, Operations and Information Technology. Connor is responsible for managing the bank’s deposit and loan operations areas, as well as the IT functions.  She is also responsible for the overall management of the Bank’s core system, debit cards and ATM network. Connor reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.  She is a graduate of Goldey – Beacom College, Wilmington, DE and is a member of their Distinguished Alumni Gallery.

Lynn Petrone was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Petrone is responsible for the Bank’s human resources function, recruitment plans, and government reporting.  She also oversees  Facilities and General Services. Petrone reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Petrone is a member of the Delaware Bankers Association (DBA) and is a past chairperson of the DBA’s Human Resources Committee.   She is a graduate of Goldey – Beacom College, Wilmington, DE.

Kevin C. McCormick was  promoted to Senior Vice President, Retail Administration. McCormick is responsible for the overall management of the Retail Banking Division.  He is also responsible for all lease management of the Bank’s statewide facilities, corporate insurance, and he oversees the Artisans’ Bank Financial Services Division.  He reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

McCormick is an active member of the community; he is a board member for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington Board of Catholic Schools and a finance committee member for the Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay Council.  He is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, WV and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Santora CPA earns degree

Santora CPA Group announce that Jennifer M. Picollelli, CPA, MST has earned her Masters Degree in Taxation from Goldey-Beacom College.  She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Delaware with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems.  Picollelli joined the firm in June 2010, after interning during the summer of 2009.  She was recently promoted to Supervisor. Picollelli is a member of the American Institute and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Wilmington Tax Group.

Technology Forum elects board members

The Technology Forum of Delaware  announced new board members:

The board also  thanked  outgoing  members Dennis DeBevec, Rebecca Faber and Ralph Cetrulo, for their contributions to the organization.  DeBevec was thanked for his role as Treasurer, updating our website, and improving the operational use and data management of the  event registration system.

Nason Construction, Inc. names VP

Nason Construction, Inc. announced that Julie Topkis Nason will become the new Vice President of Development.  She will oversee and guide the business development initiatives of each of Nason’s regions, working hand-in-hand with the operations, preconstruction, and marketing departments.

 

Topkis Nason has over a 28-year career in the development field throughout Delaware and the Greater-Philadelphia region.  She serves on several local boards, such as Trustee of the Grand Opera House and a Delaware Community Foundation Board Member, as well as being a community activist with Wilmington Rotary and other associations throughout the region.  She also advises local businesses, helping with business development, strategic development, fund development, and project development.

 

The Delaware Contemporary names board president

 

The Delaware Contemporary welcomed Kathrine Page as its new Board President. She  has served as an active member of the Board of Directors since 2014, and steps into her new role during a transformative time for the organization, as The Delaware Contemporary rolls out a new visual identity and an evolved mission to focus on the intersections of art, design, and technology.

 

Page received her M.A. in Theological Studies from Northeastern Seminary. As part of her coursework, she attended the Oxford Honors Program at the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies to study medieval art history. She earned her B.F.A. in printmaking, painting, and art history from Northern Arizona University.

 

Prior to her service on the Board of Directors at The Delaware Contemporary, she owned and operated Spencer Hill Gallery LLC in Corning, NY where she represented 22 contemporary American artists.

 

Prior to that she served in the following arenas: Gallery Manager at The Glass Menagerie, Corning, NY, the Director of The Davison Gallery, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester, NY, founder and curator, B.T. Roberts Memorial Hall Art Gallery, Rochester, NY, and founder of The Regional Gallery Director’s Forum, Rochester, NY. A published writer, Page served as a lecturer in art history and theology at Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary.

 

Kramer named Dental Society president

 

At the 153rd annual meeting, the Delaware State Dental Society (DSDS) elected Dr James Kramer, a general dentist who practices in Selbyville, as its next President, effective July 1.

 

Kramer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and attended Temple University School of Dentistry. He fulfilled his residency at the Wilmington Medical Center and has practiced in Selbyville since 1988. He has been extremely active with DSDS, serving on the Executive Council as well as a number of committees.

 

The President-Elect of the American Dental Association (ADA), Dr. Gary Roberts, was a special guest at the meeting and presented the outgoing President of DSDS, Dr. Robert Kacmarcik, with the ADA President’s Plaque.

Campbell Soup Foundation names Fortunato president

 

 

The Campbell Soup Foundation  announced the election of Kim Fremont Fortunato, Campbell’s Director, Community Affairs, as its new President.

Since 1953, the Campbell Soup Foundation has provided financial support to communities throughout the U.S. where Campbell employees live and work. Each year, the Foundation donates more than $1.5 million to a variety of organizations that focus on community well-being, youth empowerment and economic sustainability programming to support the development of healthy communities.

Fortunato is the first female president of the Campbell Soup Foundation. She joined Campbell in 2010 as Director of Campbell’s Healthy Communities. In her current role as Director, Community Affairs, Fortunato is responsible for Campbell’s enterprise-wide community affairs strategy, including employee volunteerism, Campbell’s Healthy Communities and philanthropy. She is based at Campbell’s World Headquarters in Camden and reports to Anthony Sanzio, Vice President, Global Communications. Sanzio is also a trustee of the Foundation.

Previously, Fortunato led Campbell’s Healthy Communities program, which was launched in 2011 to improve the health of young people in Campbell communities by reducing childhood obesity and hunger. Started in Camden, N.J., the program has grown to include four other locations where Campbell has U.S. operations: Norwalk, Conn; Henry County, Ohio; Everett, Wash.; and metro Detroit, Mich.

Fortunato has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, social change and nonprofit leadership. Before joining Campbell, she served as President of Operation Warm, Inc., growing the regional nonprofit to a national player. She also co-founded Social Venture Partners Delaware, a venture philanthropy organization focused on investments in early childhood education for at-risk children. She began her career as a lawyer..

Sealey named Coldwell Banker assocaite

 

Coldwell Banker Preferred Wilmington office announced that Glendora “Gigi” Sealey has affiliated with Coldwell Banker Preferred as a sales associate.  Sealey will be part of the Morehart and Wetherby Group and provide residential real estate services in New Castle and Kent Counties.

 

Sealey has 18 years of real estate industry experience and began her real estate career with Home Realty, and then worked for Berkshire Hathaway, formerly Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors, where she achieved a total sales volume of more than $16 million.

 

She has acquired sales experience by working in the field as a sales associate, as well as in an administrative capacity.
