bb0bf31f-9b31-44b5-bc18-4ea23b980851Nage has a refreshed name, look and menu.

The long-time, Rehoboth-area  restaurant is now known as Flask+Fork at Nage. Nage, which also has a location in Washington, D.C. took the unusual step at the time of locating to the strip mall-laden Route 1 area outside of Rehoboth.

A Cape Gazette story on the former owner of  Nage noted that the decision came out the ownership of a bakery that closed, due to the illness of a co-owner. Nage ended up occupying that location.

The new name reflects the current trend toward more exotic cocktails and other drinks. The remodeled space features an expanded bar. Flask + Fork is also offering some non-alcoholic cocktails.

While keeping a fine-dinning focus, Nage became well known for its hamburger, which made best-of-50-state  lists. The burger  remains on the menu, which will change regularly, due to the use of  locally sourced seafood, fruits and vegetables.

Some day-trippers and locals  may be disappointed that the refreshed establishment will not serve lunch. Instead, the Sunday brunch has been added on Saturday.

A newsletter from Flask + Fork says the restaurant-bar will focus on local ingredients and the website  lists a number of local farms and orchards as suppliers.

The restaurant is part of the La Vida Hospitality Group, which grew out of the success of Nage, which was founded in 2004.

Other restaurants in the group include Nage D.C.  Nage Pantry, Crooked Hammock Brewery, Big Chill Surf Cantina and the Taco Reho food truck.
