Stuart Comstock-Gay is the new president and CEO of the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF).
“Stuart Comstock-Gay, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the Vermont Community Foundation, joins the DCF at a pivotal moment in our history,” said Marilyn R. Hayward, chair of the DCF board of directors.
Comstock-Gay joins the DCF after spending seven years as president and CEO of the Vermont Community Foundation. Previously, he served as director of the Democracy Program at Demos, executive director of the National Voting Rights Institute in Boston, vice president and chief operating officer of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He also spent 14 years with the American Civil Liberties Union in Maryland at the beginning of his career, including ten as executive director.
Comstock-Gay holds a bachelor’s in political science from Bucknell University and master’s in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He succeeds Fred Sears, who retired from the post.
