The Blood Bank of Delaware is seeking donations after a busy weekend that has become an “Unofficial National Holiday.”
“Winter is historically a challenging time for blood donation,” said Michael Waite, director of Marketing and Community Relations for Blood Bank of Delmarva. “Add to that, the complications from cold and flu season, the recent record snowstorm and the anticipation that accidents could occur this weekend, hospital orders are high. That’s why we’re asking the public for their assistance these next few days. We could really use the help.”
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
