Sallie Mae announced that Jerry Archer, senior vice president, and chief security officer, received the 2015 Security Advisor Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award.
Archer was nominated and selected by his peers for outstanding leadership in the cybersecurity industry. He received the award at the inaugural Security Advisor Alliance Summit held recently in Dallas.
As Sallie Mae’s chief security officer, Archer is responsible for business continuity, crisis management, and security risk management, including cyber and information security. He joined Sallie Mae in 2009 and has more than 40 years of experience at leading companies and government agencies, including Intuit, Visa, and Fidelity.
