On Wednesday, Delaware Technical Community College launched its 50th-anniversary celebration.
The kickoff included a commemorative anniversary video that showcases the college’s history and accomplishments; an anniversary website with historical timeline and alumni success stories; a campus scavenger hunt; and refreshments. Kickoffs were held simultaneously at all four campus locations at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Delivering Excellence, Changing Lives will be the 50th-anniversary theme. Events and activities are planned throughout the year. Delaware Tech employees and students will complete 50 campus and community service projects in 2016, and the college will formally install its fifth president, Dr. Mark T. Brainard, on June 9.
