The shopping center, which recently completed a major renovation project was the home of one of the third Capriotti’s after the family-owned chain expanded from its original location on Union Street in Wilmington’s Little Italy neighborhood.

The second store remains on Basin Road in the New Castle area.

The company later expanded to Las Vegas, where franchisee Ashley Morris later bought the company.

Capriotti’s now has about 100 stores nationwide.
