A man associated with  the Gold Club gentlemen’s  club near Wilmington has been charged in a September shooting that left one man injured.

On  Dec.  15, Delaware State Police detectives arrested Terrance E. Everett, 38, of Wilmington, without incident as he arrived at the Division of Probation and Parole in Wilmington. He was then transported to Troop 2, Glasgow, where he was charged by detectives with Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, and Reckless Endangering 1st Degree. He was arraigned and then committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in lieu  of $52,500.00 cash bail.e

Following the shooting, which occurred on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at about 3:13 a.m., detectives conducted interviews and collected evidence from the scene. A later search of a residence located in the Four Seasons development in Newark was then conducted.

During the search, detectives  said they were able to find the weapon used in the shooting and were able to link it to Terrance Everett, who was an employee of The Gold Club at the time of the shooting.

The lot outside the club south of Wilmington was the site of  a fatal shooting late this year. A series of incidents led the Attorney  General’s Office to move to shut down the club.
