Horizon Services is expanding to a second location in northern Delaware that will house more than 100 office and administrative personnel.
The new location is located at 307 Ruthar Drive, near Newark, will house customer service, inside sales, finance, IT, and human resources.
Their current facility west of Wilmington will remain in operation, and serve as its major dispatch center in the area, as well the largest of its four warehouses.
The new space also leaves room for future growth. “We can add about 50 more employees to the new location, and run 20 to 30 additional technicians out of the existing facility,” says Mark Aitken, Horizon’s co-owner and senior vice president.
“We’re honored to be a major employer in the area, as well as one of the biggest employers of veterans.” says Aitken. “We don’t see any slowdown in our growth for the future. The sky is the limit.”
The company got its start in owner Dave Geiger’s basement as a one-man, one-truck operation.
The company now services 15,000 customers a month with more than 700 employees and 400 vehicles, making it one of the fastest growing companies in Delaware, and the single largest independently owned HVAC company in the nation.
Horizon operates in Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and northeastern Maryland.
