The award, given by The Delaware State Council Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is presented each year to the person who best represents a Human Resources Professional in their daily life. Criteria for the award included dedication to the Human Resources profession, professional credentials and accomplishments, professional involvement, and demonstrated HR leadership. Crompton-Barone was chosen as the individual who best exemplifies these characteristics by a five-member committee composed of SHRM Delaware State Council members and a past recipient.

Tricia Clendening,  Delaware State Council Director, presented the award to Ms. Crompton-Barone saying, “She is an individual that dreams, develops, leads, executes and then steps to the side to allow others to bask in the glory of the accomplishments and achievements. I cannot express enough the admiration and respect that I have, and our state has for her and her contributions to the HR Profession.”

Crompton-Barone has been a WSFS associate for 12 years. Under her leadership, WSFS Bank has been voted a Top Workplace for ten consecutive years. WSFS Bank is proud of her achievements and appreciative of the strides she makes for Associates on a daily basis.

“Cindy is the consummate Human Capital practitioner,” said Peggy Eddens, executive vice President, and Chief Human Capital Officer. “She is a respected expert and a humble leader; Cindy is the hardest working, most fair and caring person I know. She serves her fellow Associates, community and family with dedicated energy and sincere empathy.” – From WSFS
