Rssini named VP at M&T Bank

M&T Bank has announced Daniel Rosini was appointed Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager in the Delaware Region’s Commercial Real Estate Group.

In his new role, Rosini will lead the credit management of M&T Bank’s commercial real estate lending portfolio for clients located in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Rosini formerly served as Vice President and Credit Manager for Alliance Bank, and has nearly two decades of banking experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from St. Joseph’s University.

Gurz joins The Bancorp

Cheryl Gurz   has joined The Bancorp, north Wilmington as senior vice president of  Retail Banking Operations.

She previously worked atvBNY Mellon, where she served as Treasury Services Emerging Technology Segment Manager for the past three years. Before joining BNY Mellon, she held various leadership positions within product and market management, operations, finance, and innovation at Citi, HSBC Bank USA, and MBNA (now Bank of America). She began her career at The Chase Manhattan Bank through the Internal Audit Management Development Program.

In her role at The Bancorp, Cheryl will report to Gail S. Ball, COO, and will lead the deposit operations function, including the overall design, direction, implementation and governance of retail banking operations.

A regular speaker and panelist at payments and fintech conferences, she received a BS in Accounting from Niagara University and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University. She is a US patent holder (“Methods and systems for processing stranded payments and lockbox payments at the same designated payment location.” – United States US 8374964 B1), and is active in various industry work groups, including The Clearing House Finance Committee, BAFT NA Council and BAFT Blockchain Working Group.

Protack named VP at Beebe Foundation

The Beebe Medical Foundation has promoted Thomas J. Protack to Vice President of Development.  He has served as the Foundation’s Director of Development for two years.

Protack also will continue to oversee the celebrations for Beebe’s 100th anniversary in 2016 along with Leanne Prosser, 100th Anniversary Coordinator, and invite the community to participate in the many 100th anniversary projects and activities

He has worked closely with the Boards of Beebe Healthcare and the Beebe Medical Foundation, and the Foundation’s Board of Ambassadors to raise awareness and financial support for Beebe and the health services that it provides. He has overseen the Beebe Annual Giving Fund and the major fundraising events that have attracted so many supporters.  Those events included the new Beebe Beach Bash, which kicked off the 2015 summer season with over 650 donors, four golf tournaments, and the community’s black-tie event of the year, the Beebe Ball.   Protack and Aliquo established the 1916 Club, a leadership giving society, for donors who commit to donating $1,916, or more, annually to Beebe.   The 1916 Club has grown to 145 members and 1916 Club car magnets and pins can be seen throughout Sussex County.

Before joining the Foundation, Protack served as Community Engagement Director of Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.

Outgoing Bayhealth board member honored

Bayhealth Foundation’s Board of Directors recognized and honored member Troy Windham, whose term expires in December.

Windham served the Bayhealth Foundation as a board member for nine years. He joined the board in 2007 and most recently held the position of board secretary.

“[Windham] has supported the Board’s efforts for many years and we are grateful for his time talents and dedication,” said Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, president of the Bayhealth Foundation.

Patterson-Schwartz announces associates

Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate announced that  Ron Baunchalk joined the Newark office as a sales associate licensed in Maryland and Delaware.

Baunchale, a former general manager in the auto sales and manufacturing industry, is a University of Delaware graduate with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.

He began his career as a full-time real estate professional over ten years ago and has built his business in assisting with residential and land sales, investment properties and relocation. He is an Elkton, MD  resident and member of the Cecil County Board of  Realtors and the New Castle County Board of  Realtors.

Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate also announced that Catherine Savastana joined the Brandywine office as a sales associate licensed in Delaware.

She is a retired support engineer technician after a 23-year career with Boeing.

She is a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors.
