WSFS announces promotions of senior executives

WSFS Financial Corporation  announced the promotions of Tracy L. Feinsilver to Senior Vice President, Regional Manager and Albert J. Roop, IV to Senior Vice President, Director of Technology Services.

Feinsilver joined WSFS Bank in 2001 when she started as a branch Associate. She has held the positions of Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager and Retail Relationship Manager in Middletown. In 2013, She began a two-year rotation as a Small Business Relationship Manager and in 2015, she became a Regional Manager.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stetson University.

Roop, who was promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Technology Services. He joined WSFS in 1984. During his 30 years with WSFS, he has held several critical leadership roles in the Operations and Technology department.

Roop received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware and his Master of Engineering degree from Wilmington University

Interim executives at UD

Interim executives have been named for departing University of Delaware management,

Carl Jacobson, vice president for information technologies at the University of Delaware. is retiring Dec. 31.

Deborah L. Hayes, vice president for communications and public affairs, will become senior vice president of corporate affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, effective Jan. 4; and Scott Douglass, executive vice president and treasurer, has been appointed vice chancellor for finance and administration at North Carolina State University, effective Jan. 11.

Jason Cash, deputy chief information officer in Information Technologies – Network and Systems Services, will serve as interim vice president for information technologies, effective Jan. 1. Cash earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science at Delaware, and since 1997, he has worked in UD Information Technologies in a variety of capacities.

John Brennan, senior communications director in Communications and Public Affairs, will serve as interim vice president of communications and public affairs, effective Jan. 1. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Brennan has worked in the communications area at Delaware since 1972. During that time, he has held a number of positions, including editor, assistant director, associate director and director of public and media relations and assistant to the president.

Alan Brangman, vice president for facilities, real estate and auxiliary services since 2013, will become interim executive vice president and treasurer, effective Jan. 8. Brangman earned his bachelor of architecture degree at Cornell University and holds an executive master’s in leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. From 2010-12, Brangman was architect and campus planner at UD.

Smith named M&T VP

M&T Bank announced the appointment of Brandon Smith as vice president and relationship manager for business and professional banking.  Smith is responsible for providing traditional financial services and customized product solutions to business clients in Delaware.

Smith was promoted from M&T Bank’s Wayne, PA branch, where he served as Vice President and Senior Branch Manager. He previously held positions with Commerce Bank and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organization and Management Studies from Gettysburg College.

Head Start names board officers

New Castle County Head Start, Inc. Board of Directors re-elected officers for another year term on December 7, 2015. The board officers continuing in their roles are J.D. Lee, Chairperson; Leslie Lee, Vice Chairperson; Michael Mood, Treasurer; and Faith Mwaura, Secretary. The Board of Directors also welcomed new board member, Joyce Kornegay, to the board for a three-year term.

Chairperson J.D. Lee has served seven years on the NCCHS Board of Directors in roles of Secretary, Vice Chairperson and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.Vice Chairperson Leslie Lee has served over 13 years on the board in numerous leadership roles including Secretary and Chairperson. Both Michael Moodand Faith Mwaura are finishing their third year on the board.

New board member Joyce Kornegay is an Educational Consultant with over 45 years of professional experience in the education field. She has held numerous educator roles including Teacher, Vice Principal and Principal. In 2008, Kornegay served as co-founder of Newark Educators’ Community Charter School in Newark, New Jersey. She holds a Bachelors of Arts from Jersey City State Teacher’s College and a Masters of Arts from William Paterson University in addition to numerous professional certifications in the education field.
