Dan and Susan Katzin, of Wilmington.are making a $4 million gift to Nemours.
The donation will “facilitate major advancements in neuroscience at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, near Wilmington. The donation will be used in creating a comprehensive treatment and research center of excellence for pediatric neuroscience.
The donation has enabled the recruitment of internationally prominent leaders in neuroscience and autism, and the establishment of a new for diagnostic and research purposes.
“Nemours is uniquely poised to become a regional leader in neuroscience, with a particular focus on autism spectrum disorder,” a release stated. A ceremony marking the donation is slated for Friday.
