Potholes are leading to emergency repairs on I-295 south of the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) maintenance personnel will undertake emergency repair work to the pavement at both ends of the I-295 southbound bridge overpass at U.S. Route 13.
Two southbound lanes leading to the overpass will be reduced to one lane. That single lane will be shifted to the shoulder at the bridge overpass on I-295 southbound. This restriction will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, weather permitting.
The ramp from U.S. Route 13 N to I-295 S will also be closed. Detour signage will be posted. Delays are expected.
Motorists are urged to be careful and stay alert in and around construction zones, and obey all posted speed limit signs, a release from the River and Bay Authority stated.
