The Downtown Newark Partnership will again hold its annual Wine and Dine event on March 28.
A total of 1,500 glasses will be handed out free of charge, with participants paying for tastings at local restaurants along with food items that complement the wine.
Small pours will be available for $2 with higher prices for premium wines.
This year, attendees will receive a wine pouch that will help reduce glassware casualties.
Tastings get under way at 1 p.m. at Deer Park Tavern, Grotto Pizza Stone Balloon Ale House, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Home Grown Café, Arena’s Newark, Catherine Rooney’s Newark, Klondike Kate’s Restaurant & Saloon, Cafe Ole, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ali Baba Restaurant, Caffe Gelato and Taverna Rustic Italian.
The Courtyard by Marriott University of Delaware will hold an after Wine and Dine event featuring. the small pours of wine at Wine and Dine along with tribute artist Bryan Parr. That event gets under way at 5 p.m.
