Grayson named first female ABC chair

Lorri Grayson of GG+A Construction,  was named Associated Builders and Contractors Delaware Chapter’s  first female chair of the contractor organization.

“GG+A Construction is a general contractor and construction management company that has a long and distinguished record of membership and involvement with ABC Delaware,”  said ABC Delaware President Ed Capodanno.  “Lorri has a great inner passion for ABC and our core values. She is always there for ABC whether it is helping with a legislative issue either locally or nationally, promoting ABC to prospective members, attending monthly meetings or volunteering on an ABC Committee.”

Grayson has served on the ABC Delaware Board of Directors for the past 5 years holding every position.

She is also involved at the national level, currently serving as one of ABC Delaware’s National board members. She is a past chair of the GreenBuild Committee and also serves on the ABC Partnering Committee and the Education & Training Committee.

“A few years ago, Lorri was instrumental in developing the contractor green project awards program that is now a regular part of our Excellence in Construction program,” said Capodanno. “She was also instrumental in developing our annual six-month Leadership Institute for rising managers in ABC and has taught a class in this program since its inception. She has worked with the Education & Training Committee to develop an Advanced Leadership program with nationally renowned Rapport Leadership group that debuted this past fall.”
Grayson graduated from Virginia Tech and is a registered professional engineer in Delaware and a LEED accredited professional.
