DelawareBusinessDaily.com was voted No. 1 in the Best Local Blogger category at the annual Readers’ Choice promotion from the News Journal. Results were published in a special section in the Sunday, Sept. 28th Sunday edition.
“I want to thank our readers for their support of our rapidly growing local news service that uses blogging as part of a digital toolbox that provides current and archived business news and information free of charge,” said Doug Rainey, chief content officer and publisher of the website and its associated electronic business journal, The Delaware Business Bulletin.
“Blogging in Delaware is often viewed as a forum for political points of view, or individual passions,” Rainey said. “But there is room for more blogs that offer a variety of viewpoints and information that might not be available in the mass media.” In the future DelawareBusinessDaily.com will feature links to top blogs in the state.
“The vote for DelawareBusinessDaily.com has even more significance, given the changes that took place in the Readers’ Choice program in 2014,” Rainey said. He noted that voters now register and can only vote once for their choice. In the past, more frequent voting was allowed.
