Ted xTEDxWilmington  will return for a third year on August 6,  with a full day of  talks and “ideas worth spreading.” The location is World Cafe Live at the Queen in downtown Wilmington.

The event takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature a combination of 18 live speakers plus several curated TED Video Library talks. The event aims to attract creators, catalysts, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, designers, scientists, thinkers, and doers from the area to stimulate conversation and form connections between guests, according to organizers.

The 2014 moderator is Liane Hansen, an American journalist, former NPR host and radio personality. After giving a captivating talk at TEDxWilmington in 2013, “Reflections From a Functional Depressive,” Hansen was invited back to moderate this year’s event.

Speakers include award-winning  chef Matt Haley, owner of a number of companies that include restaurants in Sussex County.

Tickets for TEDxWilmington are being sold for $99.95 online at www.tedxwilmington.com. The number of tickets available are limited.
