Tech news network coming to Delaware

TechStart It Up Delaware and Technical.ly Delaware will hold a kick off event for its redone space in downtown Wilmington, and to kick off a partnership with Technical.ly Delaware.

The event will be held on June 23rd at 5 p.m. The event will include remarks by Gov. Jack Markell. The location is 605 N. Market St., 2nd Fl. 
Wilmington.

Technical.ly Delaware is part of a a local technology news and events network founded in 2009.The venture now covers Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Baltimore and will add Delaware to its territory.

The move by Tecnical.ly is viewed as evidence of a growing technology community in the state.

In a related note, Start It Up Delaware will hold a meet-up and star-up pitch competition Upstairs at The Queen at 500 N. Market Street on June 17th from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Judges will be looking for the best idea for a charitable/civic start-up. The winner will get a Firefly festival package.
