A lot of interior construction is taking place at Christiana Mall as stores expand or consolidate.
The mall announced on its Facebook page that Foot Locker is replacing its store in the mall and the new store will be known as House of Hoops by Foot Locker. The store will open late summer/early fall in the soon to be vacant Gap location near Macy’s.
The popular Victoria’s Secret store is undergoing a makeover, with the lingerie retailer moving to temporary space.
Gap will be opening a combined store in the spring next to Target combining Gap, GapKids and Baby Gap, according to published reports.
Returning to the mall is Wilson’s Leather, which departed several years ago. Also slated to open stores are Zumiez, a skateboarding-oriented clothier, Pink women’s apparel, Icing and Invicta,
Downsizing is long-time mall retailer Talbot’s which now has a petites store.
In all, nearly 20 new and remodeled stores will be coming to the mall that remains in the top tier when it comes to sales per square foot.
On the boundary of the mall, a Cabela’s outdoor store will open in May, with a Cinemark multiplex to follow.
