The Wilmington Trolley now connects Downtown Wilmington and the Riverfront running every 20 minutes throughout the day and much of the evening.
The improved route and lower fare on the rubber tire trolley is designed to give greater mobility to residents, visitors, and downtown workers.
Wilmington is known for having a large downtown area for a city its size and now has a rapidly growing riverfront area with amenities that include restaurants, offices and a hotel this spring. The trolley will allow more downtown and riverfront workers to have lunch or even hold meetings without parking hassles.
Downtown Visions Safety Ambassadors will be assigned to ride the trolley at different times during the day and evening. If ridership grows, expanded schedules that include weekends could be added. For more information on route and schedule visit www.dartfirststate.com or www.downtownvisions.org.
