(Video) Sen. Pettyjohn responds to State of State Address

State Sen. Brian Pettyjohn, R-Georgetown, released a video response to Gov. Jack Markell’s State of the State Address. Among other things, he questioned whether Markell is correct in saying that the state’s economic outlook is better than last year at this time.

He also questioned whether the education system is improving.

Pettyjohn vowed to work with the governor and staff on bringing jobs to the state. He did wonder where the money would come from in regard to the governor’s recommendation for an extra half billion dollars in transportation funding.

The State of the State address deals with new iniaitaitves and proposals from the governor, with the financial details coming next week in the annual budget address.
