A dispute over the dissolution and sale of The Inquirers parent company should be heard in Philadelphia because the company’s only connection to Delaware is that it was incorporated there, one group of owners said in briefs filed Thursday in Common Pleas Court in the city.

Lewis Katz and H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest want the Philadelphia court to order a public sale of Interstate General Media, but a group of owners headed by George E. Norcross III wants Delaware Chancery Court to order a private auction among the owners.
