Former New Castle County Council President Tom Kovach has announced what he called the “e-launch” of Assist & Inspire Delaware (“AIDe”).
The organization was first announced in February. Click here for the story.
Kovach, an attorney, has been active in the non-profit area and made community service part of his candidacy for Congress.
“AIDe is a non-profit resource started earlier this year in an effort to help assist other non-profits and small businesses better serve Delaware. Our goal is to inspire new, existing, and struggling organizations by showing them how they can overcome their hurdles,” Kovach wrote in a newsletter.
The newsletter featured information on three fund-raising events by smaller non-profit organizations.
Also in the works is the launch of PressDE, a program to help non profits and small businesses get information to local media outlets. The organization also has a presence on Twitter and Facebook.
The efforts of AIDe led to the Business Bulletin publishing a Not for Profit column on a regular basis.
Assist & Inspire also announced that Sam Sachs is now its Operations Coordinator.
The Wilmington native is a recent graduate of Wilmington University. He was active in student government and non-profit work while at the university.
