Women’s Resource offering micro loans in New Castle County

Women’s Opportunities Resource Center (WORC)  announced it is  offering $1,000 to $25,000 for  start ups and existing businesses in New Castle County.

To date, the Philadelphia-based center  has made more than  350 micro loans, small business loans and near equity loans totaling more than  $1.2 million. Loan terms range from two to four years. Applicants with low credit or no credit scores will be considered, although additional requirements may apply.

The mission at the Women’s Opportunities Resource Center (WORC) is to promote social and economic self-sufficiency primarily for economically disadvantage women and their families. WORC provides training, individual business assistance, incentive saving programs and access to business resources.
