Delaware City Refinery and DNREC officials are investigating a sheen found on the water near the Delaware City Refinery.
A PBF Energy spokesman said the sheen was detected late Tuesday night. The refinery unloads crude oil from a dock near the Delaware River and the refinery.
The refinery has booms and other clean-up equipment on the scene, the spokesman said.
The hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon on the water was not immediately identified.
DNREC officials were immediately notified of the incident.
