Dogfish Head Craft Brewery closed its popular tour today, after a small spill of a cleaning chemical.
No injuries were reported and clean-up is under way, the brewery reported on its website.
“Out of an abundance of caution and with some great guidance from our safety team, we evacuated the entire building – even though we had an afternoon of fully booked brewery tours and a Tasting Room packed with guests,” the post noted.
The brewery said it hopes to reschedule the canceled tour.
Responding to the incident were first responders from the Milton Fire & Police departments, the Delaware State Police local emergency personnel and DNREC.
