Over the years, the DCF has awarded 510 capital grants totaling more than $5 million, funded mainly through the State of Delaware Fund. Other field-of-interest endowments also contribute to these grants. Capital grant may be used to fund construction, renovation or repair of buildings, and/or land purchases. Capital grants typically range from $5,000 to $20,000, with a $25,000 maximum.
“Capital grants support nonprofit organizations in all three Delaware counties to develop projects that may not have been possible with nonprofits’ own funding,” DCF CEO Fred Sears said. “We have chosen this group of nonprofits out of dozens of grant applications because we believe that this year’s grant recipients will be able to create a lasting impact on their communities.”
