Nanticoke Health Services announced it will be expanding services with the addition of Nanticoke Immediate Care at 505 W Market Street in Georgetown.

Nanticoke Immediate Care will provide walk-in health care services open seven days a week, with no appointment needed. Care will be offered for minor illness and injury. Nanticoke Immediate Care will open July 8.

“There is a great need for health care providers in Sussex County,” said Steven Rose, CEO of Nanticoke Health Services. “Nanticoke Immediate Care will not only bring additional health care providers to Georgetown but will also expand access to care through day, evening, and weekend hours, making it easier for the people that work or have other commitments during the day to access the care they need.”

Nanticoke Immediate Care is a part of the Nanticoke Physician Network. “Because it’s a part of the network, patients will have access to Nanticoke’s patient portal system allowing them to access information about their visit,” said Thomas Brown, senior vice president at Nanticoke and president of the Nanticoke Physician Network. “And, for patients whose primary care physician is a member of the Nanticoke Physician Network, their doctor can easily see information on the care provided and any tests results completed during their visit to Nanticoke Immediate Care. This allows for a continuum of care for patients. Better communication means better care.”
