Named Entrepreneurial Advocate of the year was Clinton Tymes, the long-time director of the Delaware Small Business and Technology Center. The center has offices in all three counties. Tymes is retiring from that post.

The center is credited with assisting more than 20,000 people, resulting in 1,000 new businesses and 3,000 jobs. Tymes served in that post for two decades and prior to that time operated his own office equipment business.

Named Entrepreneur of the Year was Michael Porter of Sherm’s Catering. Porter’s business has operated food operations in local government buildings. Porter recently decided to focus entirely on catering with a location in Christiana Memorial Hall. He manages the banquet service and runs a full-time catering operation.

Ambassador of the Year is Brooke Grubb of Unique Impressions. Grubb is Director of Business Development for the advertising specialties company.

Chamber Ambassadors work with members including those who have just joined the chamber. Ambassadors also assist at chamber functions.
