    ING Direct’s Arkadi Kuhlmann and Jim Kelly Thursday night joined the ranks of 45 other laureates in Junior Achievement’s Delaware Business Leaders Hall of Fame.
    Nominees for the honor are judged on the impact of their business leadership in five distinct areas:  workforce development, economic development, strategic management, (entrepreneurship, and invention/innovation.
    Kuhlmann and Kelly ING Direct CEO and COO, respectively, led the team that changed the way consumers save and altered the trajectory of the personal banking industry to meet the cyber age and a new generation of savers, according to a JA release.
    Kelly currently heads the business that was acquired by Capital One. Capital One has pledged to expand employment in the state as it merges ING Direct into its direct banking operations.
    The Hall of Fame was created in 1990 by Hagley Museum & Library officials and Junior Achievement of Delaware as a means of spotlighting business role models for Junior Achievement students to emulate.
