A woman  pedestrian, who was struck by a small SUV earlier this week, has died at Christiana Hospital. Maria Eldreth, 52, of  Wilmington, died Thursday, Delaware State Police reported.

Troopers earlier reported the  driver and vehicle have been found, following  a hit and run crash at  Pencader Corporate Center, Glasgow. No further details have since been released, pending possible charges.

A Geo Tracker. Not the actual vehicle involved in the crash

The  investigation indicated  that the crash occurred on Tuesday, at  around  7:30 a.m. as Eldreth and Judith Johnson, 67, of Newark,  were walking in an eastbound direction on the side of roadway on Corporate Boulevard, approaching Lake Drive.

    • The women  were struck from behind by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Corporate Boulevard. After the impact,  the vehicle did not stop and continued eastbound on Corporate Boulevard. The vehicle is described as a Geo Tracker-like small  SUV, black, with possible Maryland registration.

Eldreth was taken to Christiana Hospital where she was in critical condition. Johnson was also treated at Christiana for non-life-threatening injuries.
