Mark Rieger of the University of Florida has been named dean of the University of Delaware’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) following a nationwide search.
Rieger, who will take office Aug. 1, has served as associate dean of the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences since 2006.
The dean’s post at the UD college is one of the most visible in the state, given the importance of agriculture to the Delaware economy work done in areas such as poultry.
