Firefly, a three-day musical extravaganza featuring 48 bands in the tradition of Tennessee’s Bonnaroo and San Francisco’s Outside Lands festivals, is the offspring of a marriage of convenience between Dover International Speedway and Chicago-based Red Frog Events.
Firefly will be held in a wooded area near Dover International Speedway.The event will follow the Orion festival in Atlantic City, N.J., which is being headlined and headed by the band Metallica. The two events will make the Mid-Atlantic area a rock mecca this summer.
